The toggle switch points to the symbol “Engine heating”. The water circuit is heated until the thermostat value opens. This causes the heat to flow through the engine as well. The engine is heated faster when the vehicle blower is set to a lower speed or even switched off. Most of the heat is therefore transferred to the engine.
The toggle switch points to the symbol “cabin heating”. The hot water flows through the vehicles heat exchanger which heats up the interior. The water circuit is not heated to the point that the thermostat valve opens. The optimal comfort configuration can be selected on the vehicles temperature and blower controls.
